Monrovia has announced changes to its New Year’s Eve plans due to expected rainy weather this week, ensuring the safety of residents and attendees.

While the city was initially preparing for its annual festivities, the weather forecast has led to adjustments to ensure the safety of attendees.
Noon Year’s Eve: Grab & Go Pop-Up at the Monrovia Community Center
The popular Noon Year’s Eve celebration has been revamped into a Grab & Go pop-up event at the Monrovia Community Center. Residents can still enjoy a festive experience by stopping by to pick up party supplies and craft kits to celebrate the countdown at home. Participants will also have the chance to snap a commemorative photo to remember the day.

Cancellation of New Year’s Eve on Myrtle Avenue
The much-anticipated New Year’s Eve on Myrtle Avenue event has been canceled due to safety concerns related to the forecasted rainy weather. The city has stated that, given the conditions, they cannot proceed with the event as originally planned.
The city emphasized that the health and safety of the community is its top priority and urged residents to make alternate plans for ringing in the New Year.
