Join Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) for their first Optimized Strategic Plan (OSP) meeting online via Zoom to learn about zero-carbon electricity.
News Desk, Pasadena – Pasadena’s pathway to carbon-free electricity will be charted through a comprehensive Optimized Strategic Plan (OSP), which PWP is developing in collaboration with Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc. (E3), a recognized leader in clean energy policy implementation.
The OSP is a roadmap that defines the key actions and future decision points that will best position PWP to achieve the City’s goal to source all electricity from carbon-free sources by the end of 2030 while maintaining reliability and limiting cost impacts to customers. The OSP will consider how new generation resources, infrastructure investments, and customer programs can facilitate the transition to Pasadena’s carbon-free goal.

This article about the PWP OSP showed up in my feed October2. Almost one week AFTER the event. Having had cataract surgery that morning and NOT having Zoom, could someone, anyone please give a written summary of the meeting???
For openers, I didn’t see ANY reference to a Plan B (or C), i.e., a backup plan in case of a large (7.4+) quake. Remember — it’s ILLEGAL to have a generator in this state!
15 years in the Red Cross tells me the city & County are going to have a lot of dead bodies due to a lack of “what-if?” planning.
