Due to the devastating Eaton Fire, this year’s event has been relocated. The Mountain View Mausoleum, originally slated to host the festival, is now being used by the Army Corps of Engineers for ongoing fire relief and recovery efforts. As a result, organizers quickly adapted and found a new venue at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, which graciously stepped in to host the event. While the Mausoleum will be missed, organizers are optimistic about returning to the historic site for Litfest 2026.
Litfest 2025 will now take place on Friday, May 2nd, from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm, and Saturday, May 3rd, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, located at 585 E. Colorado Blvd.
This exciting, free-to-the-public event offers a unique opportunity for book lovers, writers, and the local community to come together and celebrate the written word. Organizers have expressed their sincere gratitude to the Pasadena Presbyterian Church for their generous support in hosting the festival amidst these unexpected challenges. “A heartfelt thank you to our community for stepping up in our time of need. Pasadena Presbyterian Church, we are deeply grateful for your support,” the event organizers shared, recognizing the church’s vital role in keeping the festival alive this year.
