Kaiser Permanente will mark its 20th appearance in the Rose Parade in 2026 with a float highlighting teamwork and coordination in health care.

The organization said its float, titled “A Better Idea for Health Care,” aligns with the Rose Parade’s 2026 theme, “The Magic in Teamwork.” The design is meant to reflect Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care model, in which medical services, insurance and pharmacy operations work together.
The float will depict a patient’s journey through the health care system, beginning in a medical office and continuing through the support of a coordinated care team that includes doctors, nurses and other health professionals.
An animated MRI machine will represent innovation and early detection, while surrounding floral displays are intended to convey vitality and compassion, according to the organization.
“Kaiser Permanente was founded on a better idea for health care,” said Greg A. Adams, chair and chief executive officer of Kaiser Permanente. He said the organization’s approach is built on more than 80 years of collaboration among care teams focused on improving community health.
Members, employees and physicians will ride on and walk alongside the float, representing stories of how teamwork supports patient care.
The float is being designed and built by Phoenix Decorating Company. Kaiser Permanente has received multiple Rose Parade awards over the years, including the Wrigley Legacy Award in 2025 and the President Award in 2024.
The Rose Parade will be held Jan. 1 in Pasadena.
