I am the Egg Man.

Colorado Boulevard,net‘s cultured readers will remember that in Gulliver’s Travels, Jonathan Swift ridiculed the trivial disputes between the two main political parties in 18th century England by imaging two parties in Lilliput whose only difference was that one ate boiled eggs starting at the big end, the other at the small end.

They were called the Big Endians and the Little Endians.

By now the fierce rivalry among these little people should have been put to rest long ago. Imagine my surprise then when I was asked this week to fill in a government form which gave me the option of saying if I was bigender.

Reg Green is a journalist living in La Cañada. His seven-year old son, Nicholas, was shot in an attempted carjacking in Italy in 1994 and his organs donated to seven Italians. Since then he has run a charity, The Nicholas Green Foundation, whose purpose is to increase organ donation worldwide. His latest book is “90 And Not Dead Yet.”
