Day One is once again the primary organizer for Walktober Pasadena this year partnering with the City of Pasadena and the many volunteers at the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, who launched Walktober in Pasadena seven years ago.

Walktober is many things. It’s a month-long series of tours to learn about and experience the community in person. It’s tacos and coffee, art, local history, architecture, bird watching and neighborhood discovery. It’s a healthy activity for everyone. It’s the best way to get in your daily steps. It’s a chance to stroll and rub elbows with your City Council Members. And it’s a great way to meet neighbors and visitors alike. At one point or another, we are all pedestrians and Walktober puts our safety and the enjoyment of all that our city has to offer, front and center.
Highlights include two historic walks with Pasadena Walking Tours focused on Old Pasadena and South Lake as well as an historic walking tour of Old Pasadena with Pasadena Heritage. Pasadena Audubon Society is partnering with the Gamble House for a Bird Walk and Sit and the Gamble House is offering their Arroyo Terrace Neighborhood guided walk. Participants can sample tacos or coffee with Council Members Jess Rivas and Felicia Williams. City staff will be leading a NW Pasadena History Tour and a Public Art Walk with Council Members Tyron Hampton and Justin Jones. All events are free and open to the public. Visit the Walktober website and find an event that interests you at WalktoberPasadena.org.
