The watch is in effect as a moderate to strong atmospheric river is forecast to move into the area, bringing heavy rainfall that could result in widespread flooding.

Excessive rainfall may cause flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying or flood-prone areas. - Timing:
Rain is expected to begin Tuesday afternoon and continue through Wednesday evening, with periods of heavy rainfall possible. - Rainfall Forecast:
Up to half an inch of rain may fall Tuesday, with rainfall rates increasing Tuesday night. Total accumulations of 3–4 inches are possible. Showers will persist through Wednesday, with heavy rain remaining a concern.
