The City of San Gabriel’s Community Services Department is offering a variety of programs and events throughout the summer season, including concerts, recreational activities and more.

Check these upcoming in-person events coming up this Summer (some programs and events may require registration to participate):
1- Swim Lessons return June 14
Registration began June 1. You can register online for Level 1. Levels 2 and up need to register by phone or in-person (by appointment only).
For additional information, contact the Smith Park office at (626) 287-9421 (June through August).
2- Kid’s Day & 4th of July Parade
n lieu of the Kid’s Day and 4th of July Parade the City encourages residents to register for the special Independence Day concert on July 1st featuring the Smokin’ Cobras.
3- Movies and Concerts In the Park

> Pre-registration is required for all events. On-site registration will not be available.
4- SG Run, Walk & Roll
Celebrate Parks Make Life Better Month by participating in Run, Walk & Roll. Registration Includes: Predetermined Routes, Event Playlist, Photo Challenge & Free Safety Pedestrian Video! Registration Openwed June 1st and will close on Friday, July 16 at 2:00 pm.
First 100 Participants registered will be entered into an opportunity drawing.
> Monday, July 19 – Sunday, July 25.
5- Walk to Los Angeles
The formal Walk to LA event may not be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic regulations. However, participants can still walk the historic route, taken by Los Pobladores when they first set out in September 1781, by taking precautions (click here for more info). The event would have been scheduled for the morning of August 29.
