The project, titled “Every Earthquake Has a Story,” involved six grade history students interviewing family members and friends who had lived through a major earthquake. The results were first hand account within an interactive exhibit, where students linked e-newsletters they created to QR codes and posted the codes on a map for visitors to scan and read.
Students worked on the project during the Christmas break, where they interviewed and documented stories of family members close to them as far as the Philippines, South America, and many parts of the world,

The next step is for students to attempt to record podcasts talking about different aspects of earthquake safety and help making earthquake kits for the community.
The “Every Earthquake Has a Story” project is in the school’s hallway, and everyone is welcome to view it.
