The historic Sierra Madre Playhouse presents Music @The Playhouse: Jett Kwong.

Kwong is an “experimental pop artist” (303 Magazine) whose music combines her virtuosic skills on the Chinese guzheng with striking vocal melodies and electronics, transporting listeners into dreamy soundscapes deemed a “balm to the spirit” (NPR).

Her poetic melding of languages and cultures, largely inspired by her mixed Chinese and American heritage, is bolstered by a keen alt-pop sensibility. The recipient of the 2019 Kollaboration Award, bestowed on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in entertainment and media, Kwong “creates music that touches on themes that are both deeply personal and intrinsically universal” (303 Magazine). Her distinctive music has also been featured on various film and television projects.
