Calling all cast and crew – movie stars, action heroes/heroines, fantasy characters, directors, costumers, and makeup artists alike!
Join Pasadena Museum of History to celebrate Pasadena’s 138th birthday. The free family-friendly community event takes its cue from the Museum’s upcoming exhibit, Lights, Camera, Action! Hollywood Magic in Pasadena. The day’s festivities will include Hollywood-themed music and activities for all ages. Visitors are welcome to arrive in costume as their favorite movie stars and characters (costumes optional).
Participants will have the opportunity to craft your own movie-inspired top hat or tiara with Art 2 Go, enjoy the lively music of Gypsy Jambo, watch classic silent movies, enjoy free popcorn, cool off with Pump and Splash, learn popular iconic movie dance steps, star in your own celebrity photo op with a DeLorean & movie backdrop, find ten Oscars on campus and enter to win a movie-themed gift basket, and meet Mayor Victor M. Gordo.
The official cake cutting with Mayor Gordo will be at 2:00 pm with complimentary cake being served to the public from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Free movie ticket drawings for visitors in costume will be held at 2:45 pm and 3:30 pm.
