Join for a community vigil and healing space to grieve, and denounce violence against Asian Americans, misogyny, classism, racism, and white supremacy. Solidarity is the solution.

Heartbroken by the murders of Asian women in North Georgia, SGV recognizes the violence against the Asian American community fueled by the country’s long history of white supremacy, patriarchy, and systemic racism. As a coalition of grassroots SGV organizers, they invite you to join them at their #SGV community vigil for collective processing and healing.

Given the COVID pandemic, there will be both virtual and in-person options for folks to participate.

      Virtual Event: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm:

      • Email SGVProgressiveAction@gmail.com for the meeting link

      In-Person Event: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm:

      • You’re welcome to bring incense, candles, and offerings. You are also welcome to bring signs of solidarity and support.
      • Face masks and physical distancing are required, and double masking is encouraged.

      Getting There

Ample car parking as well as a bike rack. Metro 70 and 770 run frequently off of Garvey Avenue (3 blocks away from Monterey Park City/Barnes Park).
