Forest Lawn will honor fallen veterans with a free Memorial Day remembrance at its Glendale location.
The family-friendly, parkwide remembrance will bring generations together to commemorate the lives and valor of American veterans with patriotic music, wreath layings, presentations, and retirings of the flag, keynote addresses, presidential proclamations, invocations, giveaways, arts & crafts, coffee, sweet treats, and more.
Forest Lawn-Glendale’s celebration includes the Glendale Sunrise Rotary’s Field of Honor American flag dedication, taking place beginning May 21 and culminating with a stage event on May 26 at 11:00 am. Flags are available for a $50.00 sponsorship, with proceeds benefiting local veterans.
Since 1915, Forest Lawn’s rolling hills and panoramic views have set the stage for Memorial Day remembrances that inspire thoughtful reverence for the brave members of the military. “Forest Lawn’s Memorial Day remembrances honor the lives and courage of the members of the United States military,” says Rodolfo Saenz, Forest Lawn’s Senior Vice President, Marketing. “We are proud to bring all of our Southern California communities together for earnest moments of reflection and gratitude at our six patriotic events.”
