In honor of the vibrant and reverent Mexican holiday Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos, Old Pasadena hosts a Community Celebration on Saturday at the Big Bang Theory Way – one of Old Pasadena’s historic alleyways.
Come stroll and take in live marimba and mariachi performances, craft-making with the Armory Center for the Arts, and free calavera / sugar-skull face painting.
A large Community Altar will be staged and dedicated to our community’s loved ones. Event-goers are invited to bring along a photo or remembrance to leave on the altar or create their own at the “Letters to Our Loved Ones” craft table.
Several businesses throughout Old Pasadena will create and stage their own altars and/or host special activities to commemorate the holiday!
