Starting Monday, March 16, students in Pre-K through 12th grade will have the opportunity to access free, educational PBS daytime programming designated for each grade level weekdays through the following channels:

For now, we are open and showing movies for those who would like to attend:
– We regularly disinfecting and sanitizing restrooms, concessions stands, auditoriums, and commonly touched surfaces. Monitoring employee health, and insisting that any sick employees stay home if sick, and immediately go home if they feel unwell while at work.
– We are following current recommendations for social distancing by limiting seating capacity to no more than 50% of auditorium size, enabling patrons to keep an appropriate distance from other patrons who are not part of their immediate party.
– We are asking patrons to stay home if they are not feeling well, and request that they follow guidelines for personal contact by minimizing hand-to-hand contact (where possible) with other patrons and staff.
– If governing authorities require that we go to a stricter quarantine, we will of course comply. But until then, we hope to preserve some semblance of normalcy by staying open and providing quality entertainment for people who want to get out of the house and escape for a few hours.
– If you’ve purchased tickets to an upcoming show and it’s cancelled, we will email you with instructions on how to get a refund. If you have purchased tickets to a cancelled program, or if you feel that you would like to get a refund for an upcoming film for any reason whatsoever, please contact the theatre directly: Playhouse: (626) 844-6444.
Universal Studios
Out of an abundance of caution and in response to the guidance provided by the California Department of Public Health, Universal Studios Hollywood will temporarily close from Saturday, March 14 through March 31. We continue to monitor the situation. Universal CityWalk will remain open.

Huntington Hospital

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), visitor policy has been updated:
“For the safety of our community, patients, physicians and employees, we are temporarily restricting visitors to a maximum of two individuals per patient at any given time. Children under 15 are not permitted to visit the hospital.
This helps us lower the risk of exposure to our healthcare workers who are caring for our patients.”
Restaurants
Pizza of Venice (Altadena)
- In an effort to protect the health of our staff and customers, POV is putting into effect the following procedures until further notice:
- Pick up and Delvery orders need to be paid in advance via phone or internet.
- No dine-in
- Please keep as much distance as possible when in the restaurant and limit contact to picking up orders.
The Habit Burger Grill
- Sanitizing – We sanitize all surfaces that are commonly touched frequently throughout the day such as: tables, trays, counters, pagers, door handles, bathroom surfaces, credit card machines and kiosks. We are also in the process of rolling out an additional EPA Disinfectant certified to kill Coronavirus.
- Hand Washing- We have reinforced and directed all team members to continue to follow our strict handwashing procedures. All team members must wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water every 20 minutes. Team members must also wash hands after using the restroom, before preparing and handling food and after coughing or sneezing.
- All restaurants are required to have our Illness Policy posted for easy access and review. Any employee exhibiting any signs of illness are instructed to stay home.
Stores
Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Kroger
- Cleaning commonly used areas more often, including cashier stations, self-checkouts, credit card terminals, conveyor belts and food service counters, and cleaning shelves when restocking products.
- Sanitizing restrooms more frequently and restocking with supplies, including soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer.
- Adding extra hand sanitizer at cashier stations, food service counters, and all Pharmacy, The Little Clinic and Starbucks locations.
- Wiping down shopping carts, baskets and equipment.
- Partnering with our suppliers to replenish high-demand preparedness products.
- Continuing to provide our customers with free disinfectant wipes at our store entrances to sanitize their shopping carts or baskets.
- Following best practices for safe food handling, as always.
Vons, Pavilions, Albertson’s
We have stepped up how often we clean and disinfect all departments, restrooms, and other high-touch points of the store, like checkstands and service counters. Cart wipes and hand sanitizer stations have been installed in key locations within the stores for your convenience, too. As always, we encourage customers to wash their fresh and packaged produce before consuming at home.
- In-Stock Items.
In many markets, we are asking customers to respect quantity limits of select, high-demand items (like hand sanitizers and household cleaners) to help ensure more of our neighbors can find the products they need. We’re refilling high-demand products as quickly as we can.
- Taking Care of Our Team.
All of our associates are encouraged to follow the CDC’s recommendations to keep themselves and their loved ones healthy. We are encouraging our associates to stay home when they feel ill, and are working with our Human Resources team to ensure that every member of our team who faces a crisis can have peace of mind that we will help them get through it. Please help us keep our store associates and community safe by considering use of our Grocery Delivery or Drive Up & Go services if you have a fever or flu symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath.
- Planning for Local Needs.
Our team is also planning to make sure we can serve you if your community becomes impacted in a significant way. From a single case to local community outbreaks or situations, we have plans to keep our stores and pharmacies open and serving our communities.

Our pharmacists are continuing to partner with various health plans, physicians and state officials, and can speak to you about options like 90-day refills, early refill authorizations and prescription delivery.

Tto make online shopping even easier, also beginning this Friday and for the time being, we’ll be offering free delivery on any purchase on Walgreens.com, with no minimum purchase required.

- We do not anticipate any service disruption to our customers at this time.
- We will ask customers a series of questions before entering the home about recent travel, exposure to anyone who has traveled, or exposure to the virus.
- If you are quarantined or sick and place a call for a service order or report a natural gas leak, we ask that you advise us ahead of time. We have measures in place that will allow us to continue providing essential services to you.
- Our employees have been instructed to take precautionary measures to mitigate their exposure to limit the possibility of infection. Some of those precautions.
