Commander Williams was recognized for his unwavering dedication, particularly during times of crisis such as the Eaton Fire, where his calm leadership provided steady guidance. Known for going above and beyond the call of duty, Williams consistently showed up for the Altadena community, often in civilian clothes and on his days off, including his recent attendance at a Rotary and Grocery Outlet event to support fire survivors.
The luncheon was attended by approximately 40 deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, as well as numerous civilian volunteers representing the Volunteers on Patrol, the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, and the station’s general volunteer programs.
As a token of appreciation, Commander Williams received several gifts, including a commemorative plaque from the station. The plaque reads, in part: “In appreciation for your dedicated service and outstanding leadership at Altadena Station. Your commitment, integrity, and guidance left a lasting impact…”
The event was a fitting tribute to a leader who exemplified service and integrity, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered throughout the Altadena community and beyond.
