In preparation for the 137th annual Rose Parade, Colorado Boulevard will close to motor vehicles earlier than usual this year.
By News Desk
Starting at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, the popular street will be closed to traffic through the conclusion of the parade’s staging and clean-up.
The closure, which will remain in effect until the parade’s clean-up is completed on January 1, 2026, is expected to impact traffic flow around the area, especially for those hosting New Year’s Eve events or planning vendor deliveries along Colorado Boulevard. Residents and businesses are urged to notify guests and vendors that they must arrive before 10:00 pm or park in areas without restricted parking and walk in.
For those planning to view the parade, the route will reopen by 2:00 pm on January 1, ensuring that festivities can proceed without disruptions.
Adding to the excitement, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and lululemon are once again teaming up for the lululemon Run with the Roses 5K (sold out) on December 31, 2025. This third annual event, which will take place along the Rose Parade route, is set to begin at 11:59 pm, serving as the official kickoff to the world-famous parade.
Participants of the 5K will have a unique opportunity to run along the parade route just hours before the floats begin their journey through Pasadena. The event will serve as a celebration of community spirit leading up to the Rose Parade.
