Step into a a whole new world of discovery during the City of Astronomy Science Festival at the Pasadena Convention Center.

This free community event invites science lovers of all ages to experience the wonders of astronomy, physics, and technology through an exciting lineup of interactive exhibits and live demonstrations.
Attendees can engage with hands-on science activities such as Build a Comet, Solar S’mores, and plasma experiments. Explore the skies through solar telescopes, experiment with infrared cameras, and discover the fascinating world of radio astronomy. Representatives from Pasadena’s leading research institutions from Caltech, Carnegie Observatories, and LIGO will be on site to share their knowledge.
Throughout the afternoon, public science presentations will be held every 30 minutes, covering topics like black holes, exoplanets, galaxies, artificial intelligence in astrophysics, and more. With guest speakers from Caltech, Carnegie Observatories, and The Planetary Society, this festival promises a day full of cosmic wonder and educational fun for the entire family.
