Since attending my first Octech concert nearly two years ago, I make a point to never miss a single one.
By Alys Hoy
Although choral performances can have a reputation for being a bit stuffy and inaccessible, these concerts are cozy, intimate affairs that encourage connection with both the performers and the music itself.
United by their shared passion for choral music of all eras, genres, and traditions, the Octech singers bring not only technical excellence, but also genuine warmth and joy to each performance. Every piece is thoughtfully curated to fit the theme of the show, with program notes offering translations and historical context. It’s impossible to attend a concert and not feel the deep love each member has for both the material and for their craft. A truly life-affirming experience!

Kerckhoff Laboratories of the Biological Sciences, Pasadena, CA 91106). Street parking on California Blvd or Wilson Ave, or paid parking at 1248 E California Blvd.
