When the news makes you smile 🙂
What began as a routine drive took an unexpected turn when an Arcadia man heard faint meowing coming from under the hood of his car while en route to Rancho Cucamonga.

When he pulled over to investigate, he discovered a tiny kitten trapped deep inside the vehicle’s engine compartment.
Unable to reach the frightened feline, who kept retreating further into the car’s inner workings, the man drove to Pasadena Humane in a desperate bid to save her.
Shelter staff sprang into action, spending nearly an hour carefully coaxing the kitten out of the tight space. Eventually, one team member was able to safely extract her and rushed the tiny cat to the ICU for evaluation.
Miraculously, the estimated six-week-old kitten was completely unharmed, despite her long and perilous journey. Aside from being covered in engine grease, leading staff to initially mistake her for a gray kitten, she had no injuries, not even a singed whisker.
Now named Buffy, the kitten has since been revealed to be a cheerful orange tabby. She’s currently thriving in a foster home, enjoying plenty of snuggles and playtime as she awaits adoption.
