The theme continues at Art Center College of Design’s “Mathew Rolston, Vanitas: The Palermo Portraits,” a photo exhibition of images from the Capuchin catacombs (at the Mullin Transportation Design Center). Other exhibitions include “Diana Thater: Peonies,” a video work exploring the relationship between the natural and man-made worlds and a pair of “Cruising J-Town” exhibitions focusing on Southern California’s love affair with the automobile through the lens of the Japanese American community and featuring cars designed by Japanese American alumni.
