Arlington Garden in Pasadena remains closed as recovery efforts continue.

Arlington Garden, which has been undergoing extensive restoration following a recent fire, is taking measured steps toward reopening while safeguarding its delicate ecosystem. Although a specific reopening date has not yet been set, the garden has received approval to begin professional fire debris removal, a crucial step in the recovery process.
During this time, the garden’s natural residents, including squirrels, lizards, monarch butterflies, birds, ants, cottontails, coyotes, and native bees, have been enjoying their own “summer vacation.” They can be seen sunning on rocks, digging for grubs, and flying low to the ground, demonstrating the resilience of the garden’s ecosystem as it continues to thrive throughout the recovery.
Certain areas of the garden will remain fenced off due to the fire’s impact on the soil. Visitors can expect some sections, including the service road, to remain temporarily closed in order to protect the soil and surrounding ecosystem.
While the garden is not yet fully open, the community is encouraged to respect the recovery guidelines and look forward to the official reopening.
