A couple of enthusiasts took their hobby to a new level by opening their Bunny Museum at a new location in Altadena.

Husband and wife, Steve Lubanski and Candace Frazeeby, earned Guinness records of the “largest collection of rabbit-related (bunny) items” in 2011. The couple opened their first bunny collection to the public at their own residence on March 20th, 1998. Since then, the collection grew to more than 30,000 artifacts and they were forced to move out of their home (near Washington and Allen in Pasadena) to a new location on Lake Avenue in Altadena.
The collection runs from adorable plush animals, bunny themed collectibles and household items, to unusual collections such as an Elvis-bunny, and glass display cabinets that house the owners’ pet bunnies that have long passed away.
Hopenin’ (opening) Day is Monday, March 20. Admission is $8 (kids 4 and under are free) with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11:00 am. There’s also a special “Bunny Party” in the evening with a separate admission of $15. The owners have a few live bunnies that might be running around during open hours.
Lockers are provided for patrons to stow their personal items such as purses, hats, coats, or bags.
> All proceeds will benefit The Bunny Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
