Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger underscored the importance of the Town Council’s role, noting that its members were critical partners throughout the year in keeping the community informed, equipped, and positioned to begin recovery and rebuilding efforts after the devestating Eaton Fire. She praised the dedication of outgoing Chair Victoria Knapp and Councilmember Japhena Musson, thanking them for their service, and welcomed new members stepping into leadership at a pivotal moment for Altadena.
During the meeting, Supervisor Barger administered the oath of office to the incoming council members.
The Council formally approved its new Executive Committee, naming Nic Arnzen as Chair, Milissa Marona as Vice Chair, Darlene Greene as Treasurer, Sylvia Vega as Recording Secretary, and Kim Yu as Corresponding Secretary.
Following his appointment, Chair Nic Arnzen reflected on the Council’s role and the road ahead. “As we move forward into 2026, above all, we need to stay connected and work together for Altadena’s future.”
With the holiday spirit present throughout the evening, the meeting concluded with a sense of gratitude, camaraderie, and shared purpose, as the Council looks toward 2026 with renewed commitment to Altadena’s thriving future.
