The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Altadena Station has introduced a new tool for residents to report suspicious activity.
By News Desk
The station announced the launch of AltadenaTips@lasd.org, a dedicated email address where community members can submit tips, along with photos or videos, that may aid in criminal investigations.
Part of a broader push toward community-based policing, this initiative is designed to promote transparency and collaboration between law enforcement and the people of Altadena.
“Our goal is to empower the community to be proactive in public safety,” said the Altadena Station Captain. “We view our residents as partners — extra eyes and ears who can help us act quickly and effectively to keep Altadena safe.”
Residents are encouraged to:
- Send photos or videos capturing suspicious or criminal activity
- Include location details, such as a street address or cross streets
- Provide their name and phone number (optional)
- Remain anonymous if they choose
Tips submitted to AltadenaTips@lasd.org will be reviewed by investigators and may contribute to ongoing cases or help identify emerging concerns within the community.
For additional information, residents can visit lasd.org/altadena, follow the station on Instagram (@aldlasd) and Facebook (AltadenaSheriffsStation), or call the station directly at (626) 798-1131.
