The 3rd annual Altadena Pride Walkabout will happen on Saturday, June 8th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

      By Nic Arnzen

The festivities include five events connected by a Walkabout. Attendees are welcome to come to the event or events of their choosing, and as always, everything is free.

The day begins at 10:00 am with an opening ceremony at the Altadena Main Library. Supervisor Kathryn Barger is scheduled once again to kick it all off.  Then, from 10:30 to 11:30 the estimated crowd of 200+ will take their complimentary Pride flags and walk down Lake Avenue waving at traffic and posing for a group photo at the “Greetings from Altadena” mural, outside of Grocery Outlet. This will be followed by a Spiritual Exploration at Altadena Baptist Church with an address from Senator Anthony Portantino at 11:30 and a free Community Picnic in Triangle Park at 12:30.

The day wraps up at the Altadena Senior Center. The festival runs from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and will feature entertainment, an art gallery, a youth sanctuary, classic autos display, and a resource hall.
