The effort, which included a six-hour round trip by station personnel, reflects the department’s commitment to pursuing justice beyond local boundaries. The suspect allegedly exploited individuals already reeling from the aftermath of the fires, stealing property and engaging in additional criminal activity.
During the operation, deputies recovered a firearm, stolen property, and illicit drugs believed to be connected to the suspect. Authorities stated that the arrest brings accountability to someone who preyed on some of the community’s most vulnerable members.
“Our team’s dedication to justice doesn’t stop at city limits—we go where we’re needed,” read a statement from the Altadena Sheriff’s Station. The department also thanked the South LA Sheriff’s Station for their support during the operation.
The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
