A months‑long investigation by the Alhambra Police Department has led to the arrest of two suspects connected to a string of robberies, stolen vehicles, and crimes spanning multiple cities.
By News Desk
The case began after officers responded to two robbery incidents: a robbery at a local smoke shop and a separate follow‑home robbery. During the second incident, investigators identified that the same suspect vehicle had been used in both crimes, prompting detectives to dig deeper into the connection.
Their work soon led them to Huntington Park where the stolen suspect vehicle was located. Detectives then executed search warrants at two residences tied to the suspects. Inside, they recovered stolen license plates, a bag containing equipment used to program key fobs, and multiple cellphones. The evidence helped officers recover several additional stolen vehicles.
Further investigation revealed the suspects’ involvement in crimes across other jurisdictions, including theft of catalytic converters, burglarizing a pharmacy and fleeing with pharmaceuticals, and robbing a cash register at a Winchell’s.
Both suspects were ultimately taken into custody and now face multiple criminal charges.
