According to the department’s statement, officers were dispatched at 9:39 am to a call reporting a vehicle being followed by another vehicle that was running red lights and making illegal U-turns. Officers made contact with both parties at the intersection of Garfield and Valley.
Police parked their patrol vehicle between the two parties to help de-escalate the situation. Officers assisted in keeping the peace and confirmed that no immigration enforcement was taking place at the scene. Shortly after police arrived, both parties went their separate ways, and officers cleared the scene approximately five minutes after arrival.
The department stated that officers had no prior knowledge that federal agents were in the city at the time of the call.
The Alhambra Police Department reiterated that it fully complies with the California Values Act, also known as Senate Bill 54. The department emphasized that its priority is protecting all residents and fostering community trust, ensuring that fear related to immigration status does not prevent individuals from reporting crimes, serving as witnesses, or seeking police assistance.

Your report states that the vehicle ran red lights and was driving erratically. These are statements by ICE without verification.
How can I get in touch with the woman who was in the video? Alhambra police department did the same thing to me a few weeks ago. I am in the process of receiving the dash cam and body cam footage
Can you look into an event that happened Thursday, January 13, 2026 at Garfield elementary school between the hours of 5 PM to 10 PM. As a citizen, I witnessed unmarked cars, black SUVs, police cars, and military dressed officers running with rifles, flash bangs, Police dogs, people, screaming, and flashlights all over the school grounds.-perhaps it was a training, but as a neighbor it was frightening. You seem to be able to get an explanation about the traffic stop very quickly. Perhaps you can help me find out what happened because when I called Police dispatch they told me to not be concerned with it. I’ve lived here for 60 years, I was very concerned by it.
