Officers from the Alhambra Police Department successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested two suspects after responding to a call near 6th Street and Valley Boulevard earlier this week.

The incident began when the victim reported that her car had been stolen despite being parked and locked. She informed police that an Apple AirTag was inside the vehicle and had been tracking its location.
Using the AirTag data, officers located the stolen car in an alley in Los Angeles, where two suspects were found and detained at the scene.
During the investigation, officers discovered the car’s battery had been removed. One of the suspects was in possession of two sets of keys used to start the vehicle, along with methamphetamine, non-prescribed Adderall, and pepper spray. The second suspect was found with a meth pipe and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The suspects were identified as Mario Huitron and Honorio De La Torre, both of Los Angeles. They were arrested and booked at the Alhambra Police Department Jail.
