This is the time when art comes alive in South Pasadena.
The 2018 South Pasadena Arts Crawl event will kick off Women’s History Month (in March) with a celebration of author and illustrator Ann Shen’s “Bad Girls Throughout History: 100 Remarkable Women Who Changed the World,” who will be in attendance on Saturday, February 24.
This free Neighborhood Night will feature activities inside stores and food trucks on the streets. Lissa Layng Reynolds will be doing a half hour Concert Reading of ” A Woman of Independent Means” at 6 p.m. at the South Pasadena Library. Some businesses will be expressing this year’s theme with their own interpretations. Vave Studios and Sugarmynt will be featuring female artists, Moo on Mission will be having an ice cream flavor inspired by Deloros Huerta, and DeMilo Letterpress will be celebrating typographer Beatrice Warde. Videotheque is hoping to show the 1937 film Annie Oakley, and Ellen’s Silkscreening will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with an open house.
This event will be a fun night filled with art, music, food and friends from nearby and far!
