This Monday, April 11, 2016, Pasadena City Council is slated, once again, to hear an appeal on the historic status of the 1906 Pinney House, a unique Craftsman/Mission Revival style that was designed by C.W. Buchanan.

The developer, and current owner, is appealing the Design Commission’s decision for the third time, asking the City Council to overturn it.
The Pinney House, a historical house that’s located near the Pasadena Masonic Temple, on the east side of South Euclid, between Green St. and Cordova Ave., was considered twice in the past by the Pasadena Design Committee and was deemed fit to retain its landmark eligibility.

If successful, this distinctive example of early residential architecture, designed by the prominent Pasadena architect C.W. Buchanan, and sitting on a row of modest historic buildings in the heart of downtown Pasadena, will be replaced by a higher density project.
Meeting Date and time: April 11, 2016, City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m.
You may comment on the appeal in person at the meeting. Written comments may also be emailed to the city clerk: Click Here. Make sure to address the email to Mayor Terry Tornek and Members of the City Council.
