It doesn’t matter what type of food we give up for lent, if our core values are compromised and not aligned with the goodness of the universe.
Here are 10 things that are worth keeping for lent, and throughout the year!
By Marguerite Kribs
1- Wonder
Never lose your sense of wonder in life, as wisdom begins with wonder, and wonder becomes the root of knowledge.
2- Spontaneity
Allow spontaneity in your life and great moments will always happen.
3- Kindness
Kindness is like a boomerang, it will always return.
4- Honesty
Stay honest throughout your life and you will fear no questions from anyone.
5- Music
Music paints pictures on the soul. Fill your days with music whenever you can.
6- Family
Money is not an indication of your wealth. No matter how poor you are, if you have family you are rich.
7- Friends
Let’s face it, friends make life a lot more fun.
8- Adventure
Stay adventurous. A life without adventure is like being trapped in a library without knowing how to read.
9- Learning
Keep learning new things or your life will be stagnated. Learning is like rowing upstream, stop advancing and you will drop back.
10- Rights
Stand up and fight for your rights. You have dignity and worth that exist prior to law.
