Nothing to be afraid of here. “Witch Way to the Polls” is a family-friendly 5K walk/run and voter-resource fair taking place at Griffith Park on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The Halloween-themed event will combine festive fun with a civic mission: helping eligible Los Angeles County residents register, get informed, and prepare to vote.

With the November 3 general election approaching and ballots scheduled to begin mailing October 5, the event offers a lively way to get ready for Election Day. Sponsored by the League of Women Voters Pasadena Area and the League of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles, “Witch Way to the Polls” will feature a costume contest, music, face painting, family activities, community booths, and nonpartisan voter information.

“We want as many Los Angeles County residents as possible to attend this event,” said Colleen Donovan, who is co-chairing the event with Martha Zavala. “We have cash prizes for the first-, second-, and third-place costume winners, and all participants will receive a commemorative pin. Now is the time to register before the opportunity disappears like a witch at midnight.”

Pre-registration is $40, and space is limited.
