The public is invited to the City of Monterey Park State of the City Address with Mayor Vinh T. Ngo.

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Monterey Park’s Holiday Inn and Suites’ first floor ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
The Mayor will also announce the winners of the Monterey Park “Community Choice Awards.” The “Love Monterey Park, Community Choice Awards” is a community-driven initiative inspired by the People’s Choice Awards. This program aims to celebrate and honor the outstanding businesses and community service organizations that contribute to the vibrancy and well-being of Monterey Park. Residents were asked to nominate their favorites in the following categories: favorite restaurant, favorite retail, favorite professional service provider, and favorite community service provider.
For those who are unable to attend in person, the event will also be live streamed via the City’s YouTube channel and recorded for later broadcast on MPK-TV cable TV. As with all public meetings, the event is free and open to all. Free parking will be available during the event in the hotel parking lot.
