Pasadena residents will have two opportunities in May to learn about water conservation and take home free plants as Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) hosts special events during Water Awareness Month.
By Melanie Hooks
PWP will set up informational booths at both of Pasadena’s Certified Farmers Markets, offering resources on water-saving tools and programs designed to help residents reduce usage. Attendees can also participate in giveaways, including a chance to win free California native plants.
The first “Pop-In to Win” event is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Victory Park Farmers Market, located in the 2900 block of North Sierra Madre Boulevard. The second event will take place on Tuesday, May 12, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Villa Parke Farmers Market, located at 363 E. Villa Street.
Both events aim to promote sustainable landscaping and provide practical information on conserving water at home, aligning with PWP’s broader efforts during Water Awareness Month.
