As Summer days wind down, here’s what’s happening in the City of San Gabriel.

New Vaccination Site
A new vaccination site providing the Pfizer vaccine is added by the Herald Christian Health Center and will take place at Jefferson Middle School (1372 East Las Tunas Drive.) Vaccination days will be September 8 and September 29 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. No appointment is necessary, but pre-registration is encouraged.
Recreation Classes Open September 20
The Community Services Department is taking appointments for in-person services such as passports, class/ swim registration, future park reservations and facility rentals.
In-person after school programming is back at Coolidge, McKinley, Washington and Wilson Elementary Schools. Homework assistance, arts and crafts, and fun recreational activities are offered for free (available to 1st-5th grade students).
Registration begins on Tuesday, September 7 for in-person or virtual classes (contact 626.308.2875 for more info).
Community Blood Drive
Donate blood on Tuesday, September 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Red Cross station located at 320 South Mission Drive.
Day Trips for Seniors
Seniors are encouraged to sign up for scheduled day trips and tours on October 1, November 9 and December 13.
