8:15 am – 9:45 am: Friday Coffee Meetup features tech and entrepeneurial speakers for the free meetup over coffee. This month features Ritual Ads CEO Jethro Rothe-Kushel for a behind-the-scenes look at how AI is transforming commercial production—and what it takes to build creative systems that actually perform. 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: “Burned” Anthology Reading. Edited by Nicholas Davidge, who lost his home in the Eaton Fire, and Alana White, a longtime Pasadena resident, the project is rooted in community resilience. All profits from the book will be donated to Side Street Projects, a nonprofit supporting creative work in the Altadena and Pasadena communities in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. (@Fables & Fancies, Sierra Madre)

8:15 am – 10:15 am: Altadena Cars and Coffee. Cruise into the parking lot of Gelato and enjoy a morning of community around classic autos. (@Bulgarini Gelato, 749 East Altadena Drive, Altadena)

9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Monterey Park Fire Department: Free Sidewalk CPR Training requires no registration or prior experience. The event is intended to provide life-saving skills without the formality of a certification course. (@front lawn, MP City Hall)

9:00 am – 1:00 pm: San Gabriel Farmers Market. In front of the Mission Playhouse and steps from Blossom Market Hall, indulge in a wide variety (over 20 vendors) of fresh local produce, artisan foods, baked goods, flowers, and more. (@outside Mission Playhouse, San Gabriel)

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: 5th Annual San Gabriel Valley Pride Parade and Festival kicks off Pride Month festivities in the region. the parade begins in Alhambra and ends at the festival in Monterey Park.  (See event details for locations.)

10:00 am – 3:00 pm: 24th Annual Pasadena Police Car Show. Sponsored by Thorson Motor Center GMC Buick, visitors can expect a day packed with entertainment, including stunning vehicles from every era, opportunity drawings, multiple award categories, family-friendly activities, and plenty of food and fun. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Altadena’s Two Dragon Martial Arts: Together We Rebuild, Together We Rise. The Altadena martial arts studio holds a YouTube livestream and in-person fundraising fun day of demonstrations, food and fun. (@2490 Lake Ave & online)

11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Alhambra Fire Department: Free Sidewalk CPR Training will focus on teaching participants what to do during the critical first moments of cardiac arrest. No registration is required, and community members can stop by to learn hands-only CPR in just minutes. (@Alhambra Public Library)

11:00 am – 5:00 pm: Alta Art Fair. The event will feature an array of handmade goods, live music, food vendors, community booths, and the Community Canvas Project, an interactive activity inviting attendees to paint a 4×4″ canvas that will become part of a long‑term public art installation honoring recovery and renewal. (@Fraternal Order of Eagles Pasadena Aerie 719)

11:00 am – 6:00 pm: Tail Towns Cat Café Carnival of Cats. The Pasadena cat café holds its annual open house with a chance to play with 30-40 purring rescue cats and kittens, a free, family-friendly event. (@Tail Towns Cat Café, Pasadena)

The celebration will include Kona Ice, face painting, balloon animals, a nail polish station, and on‑site registration for the Summer Reading Program. 3:00 pm: Free Young Soloists of Southern California Concert. The Olympia Philharmonic Orchestra presents a free afternoon program of 30 Southern Californian classical soloists in the spacious Mission Playhouse space. (San Gabriel Mission Playhouse)
