      CicLAvia PasadenaA big weekend for non-motorized wheel power with CicLAvia being in town. But a lot more is happening this weekend. Come along and put your fun hat on, there’s much to do for everyone.

      Friday

      What-to-do-this-weekend - music– 10:00 am – 9:30 pm: PCM 3rd Annual Day of Jazz

      A full day of jazz and quality music. It’s ALL free! (@ Pasadena Conservatory of Music).

      – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: DBSA San Gabriel Valley Support Alliance

      Fighting Isolation with support groups can change gene expression. There are absolutely no member fees, and no one will pass the hat. Family and friends are encouraged to come (@ Pacific Clinics).

      – 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Open Mic @ Kaldi’s Cafe

      Open Mic this Friday night (@ Kaldi Coffee and Tea).

      Saturday

      Repair Cafe at All Saints (Photo -Files, Maelane Chan)– 9:00 am – 11:00 am: Family Nature Walk @Eaton Canyon

      A fresh walk in nature for the enitre family (@ Eaton Canyon Nature Center).

      – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Repair Cafe @ Villa Parke

      Repair folks will be on hand for appliances, electronics, clothing, jewelry, and blade sharpening. Hair repair will be back by popular demand! Free Free Free! (@ Villa Parke).

      – 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Free-Food Garden @ Arroyo Co-op

      Fun, exercise, and gardening (@ Arroyo Food Co-op).

      – 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: An Afternoon with Megan Marshall

      2014 Pulitzer Prize winner for Biography, Megan Marshall, returns to her hometown of Pasadena for a discussion and reading of her winning book, Margaret Fuller: A New American Life. (@ Allendale Branch – Pasadena Library).

      – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Private Pinball Party (and you’re invited)

      Private collection of rare and restored vintage pinball machines (Check listing).

      – 8:00 pm: Art Opening Group Photography Exhibit

      Art opening reception. Live Jazz music (@ Century Books).

      – 8:00 pm: Artes Vocales of Los Angeles Presents “Shakespeare in Song”

      Shakespeare’s words will be brought to life in a wide-ranging concert featuring the music of Felix Mendelssohn, Giuseppe Verdi, John Rutter, and George Shearing (@ First Baptist Church of Pasadena).

      Sunday

      Ride Roll & Stroll: Biking on Colorado Boulevard - 2014 (Photo - Staff).– 9:00 am – 4:00 pm: CicLAvia Pasadena

      Fun, fun, fun! No cars on the street, and no cares on the mind (@ Check listing).

      – 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Two Jazz Greats Perform at the Garden for Open Day

      Jazz pianist and Pasadena resident, David Arnay, returns to the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden with special guest, woodwind artist Bennie Maupin, for an afternoon of jazz (@ Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden).

      – 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Share Faire in the Park

      Enjoy home grown fruit and vegetables exchange (@ Farnsworth Park).
