  In honor of Black History Month, learn about William B. Gould who escaped slavery in 1862 and went on to become a Civil War Navy veteran, a devoted family man, and a respected community member in Massachusetts, where he settled with his wife and eight children (Virtual Event).
• 1:00 pm: Movie Matinees at Pasadena Senior Center
  Emancipation – The film tells the triumphant story of slave Peter, a man who escapes from slavery by relying on his wits, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
• 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Friday Night Street Fair
  Enjoy the charm of Old Town Monrovia (@ Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia).
• 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm: San Rafael Black History Month Science & Art Fair
  The evening will be filled with live music, dancing, a planetary parade, extraordinary presentations, and various projects created by San Rafael students (@ San Rafael Elementary School, Pasadena).
