      • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm: Free Mobile Dental Clinic for Kids in Pasadena
        Free dental services for children ages 5-18. Patients must live in Pasadena, Altadena, Sierra Madre, or South Pasadena (@ Blair High School, Pasadena).
      • 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre: Senior Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Class
        Join instructor Barbara Dempsey as she leads you in the art of Hula (@ Memorial Park, Sierra Madre).
      • 1:00 pm: Movie Matinees at Pasadena Senior Center
        Enjoy a showing of Malcolm X starring Denzel Washington and Angela Bassett (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
      • 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Altadena Neighborhood Farmers Market
        Find freshly prepared foods and hand crafted goods from over 30 vendors while delighting in live music and a community garden open house (@ Altadena Farmers Market in Loma Alta Park, Altadena).
      • 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Friday Night Street Fair
        Enjoy the charm of Old Town Monrovia (@ Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia).
      • 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: San Rafael’s Black History Month Science and Art Fair
        The evening will feature biology and live art exhibits, African drumming, and praise dancing in addition to all the science and art exhibits created by San Rafael students (@ San Rafael Elementary School, Pasadena).
      • 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Senior Night Celebration in Honor of Black History Month
        Enjoy a night of music, entertainment, dancing, socializing, and fabulous Soul Food (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
      • 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Vroman’s Hastings Ranch Trivia Night

      • 10:00 am – 12:30 pm: Pasadena IT Cafe with Free Computer Giveaway
        Pasadena Village is partnering with ATM (Ayuda Técnica para Mayores), an organization founded by local high school students which provides bilingual tech support to seniors (@ Pilgrim Tower North, Pasadena).
      • 10:00 am – 6:00 pm: Peace Chain Project
        The community is invited to participate by stopping by the library to create their own chain link containing a personal message or peace symbol (@ Villa Parke Community Center, Pasadena).
      • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Identity Theft – Creations from Social Conscience
        Artist Chuke’s sculptures and paintings invite you to contemplate the cause and effect of the misrepresentation of historical facts and its dire effects on the past and present world through Chuke’s distinctive point of view (@ Linda Vista Branch Library, Pasadena).
      • 1:00 pm: Black Mexico – The African Heritage in Mexico
        Dr. Gloria Arjona will describe the social and cultural contributions of African-descended people in Mexico from 1519-1810 (@ Lamanda Park Branch Library, Pasadena).
      • 3:00 pm: Octavia Butler Sci Fi Book Club
        Follow along in Dr. Parker’s exploration of Los Angeles and Pasadena, and learn about Butler’s life, on the 18th anniversary of Butler’s death (@ La Pintoresca Branch Library, Pasadena).
