      A busy holiday event schedule beckons for those celebrating spring, Easter eggs, and religious observances. Find music, environmental deep dives, museums and more this weekend all across the San Gabriel Valley.

      8:15 am – 9:45 am: Friday Coffee Meetup. Tech- and entrepeneurial-focused monthly free group. This month,
      fintech founder and growth strategist Chris Karageuzian talks on “Engineering Growth: Scaling a Business with Sanity and Purpose.” (@FoundrSpace, Pasadena)

      10:00 am – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre Senior Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Class. Join instructor Barbara Dempsey as she leads you in the art of Hula. Bring a lei, flower skirt, or just your desire to dance. (@Memorial Park, Sierra Madre)

      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Free Admission to Norton Simon Museum. Monthly free admission afternoon to world-class art museum galleries and newly refurbished sculpture garden. (@Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena)

      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Thrive Food Bank Free Farmer’s Market. Volunteer organization offers fresh locally sourced fruits and vegetables to food insecure populations. All welcome. (@Iglesia de Nazareth, Pasadena)

      5:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Street Fair and Market takes place every Friday evening in Old Town Monrovia! (@500 Block of Myrtle Ave. between Lemon Avenue and Colorado Boulevard)

      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm: “ICE Out of Alhambra” Event. A weekly event taking place every Friday at the corner of Main Street and Garfield Avenue. Organizers describe the gathering as a show of support for the community and a call to protect neighbors. (@corner of Main St. & Garfield Ave., Alhambra)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Caltech Tai Chi Club. Learn and practice Hao-style tai chi chuan. Additional practice includes Yang-style tai chi, kung fu, and other bare-hand and weapon forms. Free event. (@Hameetman Center, Caltech, Pasadena)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: San Gabriel Valley Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance. Group support. (@600 S. Lake Ave., Suite 200, Pasadena)

      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Janus Film Screening Club – “Dos Monjes” (1934, Mexico) means Two Monks in English and refers to the two title characters in a monastery whose romantic rivalry prior to their priesthoods led to a grudge that leads to violence, hallucinations and regrets. (@South Pasadena Library)

      7:30 pm: Good Friday Devotional Concert – Two Requiems are the featured pieces at Pasadena Presbyterian’s concert. One, by Maurice Duruflé, is based on Gregorian chants. The other, by Dan Locklair, receives its West Coast premiere. (@Pasadena Presbyterian Church)

      7:00 am – 11:00 am: San Gabriel’s 81st Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt. Activities include pancake races, egg hunt, meeting Mr. Bunny, and a coloring contest. (@Smith Park, San Gabriel)

      8:00 am – 10:00 am: Altadena Cars and Coffee. Cruise into the parking lot of Gelato and enjoy a morning of community around classic autos. (@Bulgarini Gelato, 749 East Altadena Drive, Altadena)

      8:00 am – 11:30 am: Alhambra Recycles Event. Free services include drive-thru plastic bottle & aluminum can recycling, in-person and on-site document shredding, compost giveaway, and electronic waste disposal. (@Granada Park, Alhambra)

      9:00 am – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre Easter Egg Hunt. Families and friends are encouraged to gather for an exciting egg hunt, where participants can search for colorful eggs scattered throughout the park. (@Memorial Park, Sierra Madre)

      9:00 am – 12:00 pm: The Great San Marino Egg Hunt & Firefighters Assocation Pancake Breakfast. $10-15 wristband entry which features a giant egg hunt zone in the center of the park where participants aged 1-12 years old will gather and dash for thousands of colorful eggs. Other activities and a $5 pancake breakfast also on hand. (@Lacy Park, San Marino)

      9:30 am & 11:00 am: The Lizard & El Sol. Adapted from Alma Flor Ada’s cherished folktale set in Mexico, this vibrant, bilingual story follows a small but fearless lizard on a quest to bring back the missing sun. A joyful first theater experience for young audiences and a celebration of the light we bring to the world. Free. En español y inglés. (@Playhouse Village Park, Pasadena)

      10:30 am: Discussion: Ecological Perspectives on the Eaton Fire Recovery Process. Local scientists, land managers, and community organizers to discuss the ecological impacts of wildfire and post‑fire management challenges in Eaton Canyon. (@Hastings Ranch Library, Pasadena)

      10:30 am: PASADENA 100 Coalition’s Solar Homes Tour and Info Session. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with homeowners about their experiences installing and maintaining solar technology, offering firsthand insight into the benefits and challenges of transitioning to renewable energy. (@621 South Sierra Bonita Ave., Pasadena)

      11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Artist Reception for Shanguo Jia’s “Diversity and Symbiosis.” Internationally-renowned conceptual artist Shanguo (Sam) Jia will unveil his abstract paintings — inspired by members of the Pasadena Senior Center community who have immigrated to the United States. (@Pasadena Senior Center, Fireside Lounge)

      7:00 pm: Violinist Luanne Homzy’s Arcana Nomadica. Melodia Mariposa presents Luanne Homzy’s Arcana Nomadica, with music from France, Germany, Argentina, Hungary, Romania, the Ukraine and more, to be featured.       8:00 am – 3:00 pm: Pasadena City College Flea Market. Known primarily for selling antiques and collectibles, with the products varying from high-end antiques to rummage sale-type items, the market features over 400 vendors. (@East and West side parking lots of Pasadena City College)

      8:30 am – 1:00 pm: Alhambra Certified Farmers Market. Find a wide assortment of affordably priced fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs, bread & more from local growers and vendors. (@ 100 South Second Street, Alhambra)

      9:30 am: Altadena Walk Club. The group will meet at Unincorporated Coffee before heading out on a light neighborhood walk featuring a new route. Participants will loop back to the café afterward for coffee and conversation. (@Unincorporated Coffee Roasters, Altadena)
