      Families gathered around a fake fire

      Kidspace Family-Friendly Concert Series

      • 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Sierra Madre: Senior Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Class
        Join instructor Barbara Dempsey as she leads you in the art of Hula (@ Memorial Park, Sierra Madre).
      • 10:00 am: Therapeutic Music Classes at Pasadena Senior Center
        With instructors Addison Lee and Kate Chun, participants will be able to participate in music-related activities such as sing-along, musical memories, song writing, and lyric analysis (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
      • 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Rose Bowl Stadium Tours
        Your tour guide will lead you through behind the scenes locations at the stadium, including the classic stadium seating, original 1922 locker room, the new Terry Donahue Pavilion, the Loge Lounge, the Working Press Box, and more (@ Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena).
      • 1:00 pm: Movie Matinees at Pasadena Senior Center
        American Fiction — This dark comedy tells the tale of Thelonious “Monk” Ellison, a novelist who is fed up with the establishment profiting from Black entertainment (@ Pasadena Senior Center, Pasadena).
      • 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Altadena Neighborhood Farmers Market
        Find freshly prepared foods and hand crafted goods from over 30 vendors while delighting in live music and a community garden open house (@ Altadena Farmers Market in Loma Alta Park, Altadena).
      • 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm: Jazz in the Garden at Norton Simon Museum
        Each event features a live jazz performance, a happy-hour wine menu in the Garden Café, and drop-in drawing supplies for guests to check out (@ Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena).
      • 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monrovia Friday Night Street Fair
        Enjoy the charm of Old Town Monrovia (@ Myrtle Avenue, Monrovia).
      • 5:30 pm: Kidspace Family-Friendly Concert Series
        Get transported to the Pacific Islands with Kutturan Chamoru performing Chamoru cultural dance, music, and stories from their island home in the Marianas (@ Kidspace Children’s Museum, Pasadena).
      • 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: DBSA San Gabriel Valley Support Alliance
        San Gabriel Valley Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (@ DBSA San Gabriel Valley, Pasadena).
      • 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Monthly Queer Social at SGVLGBTQ Center
        Monthly Queer Social is an opportunity for folks across the San Gabriel Valley to gather and enjoy a night of music, community, and good vibes (@ SGV-LGBTQ Center, El Monte).
      • 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Caltech Tai Chi Club – Fridays
        Learn and practice Hao-style tai chi chuan (@ Caltech – Hameetman Center, Pasadena).
      • 9:30 pm: Altadena Fireworks Viewing
        Watch the annual Altadena Town & Country Club Fireworks at the parking lot of Altadena Golf Course (@ Altadena Golf Course, Altadena).

      • 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Monterey Park Independence Day Celebration
        This community event features live entertainment followed by a free firework show at 9:00 pm (@ Barnes Memorial Park, Monterey Park).
      • 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks
        Enjoy food and drinks, browse vendor booths, and bring friends and family for free fun and live entertainment (See event’s description for location).
      • 7:30 pm: Pasadena POPS Summer Concert Series
        In honor of Duke Ellington’s 125th birthday, the POPS celebrates the explosion of music in 1920s New York that gave birth to the Jazz Age, Swing Era, and beyond (@ Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, Arcadia).
