By Luca Bonoli
Co-sponsored by Fo Guang Shan Hsi Lai Temple, the BLIA Los Angeles Chapter, and the BLIA Arcadia Subchapter, the fair will take place at USC Arcadia Hospital and will feature a wide range of complimentary health screenings and consultations.
Attendees can receive comprehensive blood tests—including cholesterol, diabetes, thyroid, liver, kidney function, CBC, and Hepatitis B—along with screenings for stroke, thyroid, bone density, vision, hearing, and liver health. Additional services include breast exams, flu shots, blood pressure checks, and body mass index evaluations. Mini-mental state exams will also be available, with priority given to participants aged 55 and older.
A variety of physician consultations will be offered across specialties such as orthopedics, internal medicine, nephrology, podiatric surgery, OB/GYN, and hepatology. Dietitian and pharmacist consultations, mental health resources, patient financial assistance, and hands-only CPR education will also be available.
Refreshments, snacks, and free gifts will be provided throughout the morning. The event is open to individuals aged 18 and older, with priority given to low-income or uninsured participants. All screenings will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to change without notice.
The hospital is accessible via bus routes 179 and 187, and free parking is available nearby. For more information, visit uscarcadiahospital.org.
