This year’s celebration welcomed more than 550 guests, who enjoyed culinary offerings from popular San Gabriel Valley restaurants, live music throughout the night, and special appearances by the USC Marching Band and the beloved USC mascot, Traveler.
Proceeds from the event, totaling $185,000, will support USC Arcadia Hospital’s education and training initiatives, culturally responsive care programs, and ongoing capital improvements to benefit the local community.
A highlight of the evening was the honoring of dermatologist Shirley Chi, MD, a longtime supporter of the hospital, as Queen of Lunar Carnival 2026. Reflecting on the recognition, Dr. Chi said, “It was only natural for me to want to give back to the place that gave me the opportunity to be successful in my field as well as the place where I bring my family members in their time of needed health care services.”
The Lunar Carnival continues to serve as a vibrant tradition that celebrates cultural heritage while raising vital funds to enhance care and services at USC Arcadia Hospital.
