Calling all LEGO enthusiasts! The Pasadena Public Library is hosting its annual Design Your LEGO® Contest, a fun and engaging opportunity for creators of all ages to showcase their skills and imagination.
By News Desk
Whether you’re a budding builder or a seasoned pro, this contest encourages participants to design an original LEGO creation based on any theme or topic of their choice.
Submissions Are Due: Friday, July 18
The contest is open to everyone—children, teens, adults, and families are all invited to participate. Contestants are asked to use their own LEGO® or other compatible plastic bricks and elements to craft a unique design. This year’s contest celebrates creativity, originality, and the life skills that building with LEGO® can help foster, including planning, problem-solving, and even public speaking.
How to Enter
To enter, simply create your LEGO® masterpiece, complete the entry form, and submit both your design and a photo of your creation. Entries can be dropped off at any Pasadena Public Library branch or submitted online via the designated form on the library’s website.
Categories for Every Builder
Submissions will be sorted into four categories:
- Children (ages 6-12)
- Teens (ages 13-17)
- Adults (ages 18+)
- Families (adults and their children)
Prizes and Showcase Day
Finalists from each category will be notified and invited to the LEGO® Showcase Day on Saturday, August 2, at the Jefferson Branch. At this event, finalists will present their creations and give a brief commentary on their designs.
Two rounds of winners will be selected:
- Judge’s Choice – Chosen by a panel of experts.
- People’s Choice – Voted on by the public through a poll on the Pasadena Public Library website.
All winners will be announced at the Showcase, making this the ultimate moment to celebrate creative minds of all ages!
