The City of Pasadena’s Public Works Department, in partnership with the Pasadena Public Library, will host a Backyard Composting Workshop on Saturday, July 25, at 1:00 pm at the Lamanda Park Branch Library.
By News Desk
The introductory workshop will cover the basics of backyard composting, including how to set up a compost bin, what materials can be composted, and how to maintain the proper balance for natural decomposition. Participants will learn simple techniques for turning everyday organic waste into a valuable resource that benefits both the soil and the environment.
The first 20 registered participants who attend the workshop will receive a free backyard compost bin. The offer is limited to one bin per household, and recipients must be Pasadena residents. The compost bin measures 33 by 33 inches when fully assembled and 33 by 18 inches when collapsed for transport.
Registration is required. To register, call the Lamanda Park Branch Library at (626) 744-7266.
