The Road Maintenance Division of Los Angeles County Public Works is conducting tree planting services in the areas of Altadena and La Crescenta.
By Claire Ghantous
The planting services began on January 11, 2021, and they plan to complete the project on the 29th of January. A total of 73 trees are scheduled for planting, and LA County Public Works highly recommends and encourages people to participate.
The trees that will be planted are meant to replace those that were once removed from those areas. If you would like a tree planted for you by Public Works, you can fill out the online Parkway Tree Request Form. There is also an option for the property owner to plant the tree, but they must apply for a permit. If you would like to participate in this admirable project but are unsure of what type of tree to plant, the Road Maintenance District has a list of tree species that are recommended for the district you are in.
> This Tree Services Locator offers a wide variety of tree species for you to pick from for each district.
