      Pasadena, Paseo Colorado:
      Santa stopped supervising the elves and showed up early to the Paseo on Friday. November 23, 2019, to celebrate the holidays and light the holiday tree.

      Monrovia Parade and Tree Lighting:
      Santa also showed up early on November 26, 2019, at Monrovia Library Park.

      Tuesday, December 3

      Ring in the holidays at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, Tuesday, December 3.

      Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with local schools performing some of your favorite holiday tunes. Enjoy a cup of cocoa, meet new friends, renew acquaintances, and bring an unwrapped gift for the “Spark of Love” toy drive and be entered into a drawing for a special prize.

      The holiday tree lights will illuminate Plaza Park at 7:00 pm to officially welcome the holiday season. Santa will arrive on his vintage fire truck to spread his holiday joy and greet all the children.

      The live holiday entertainment will be provided by:

      • The Dewey Woodcraft Rangers
      • Community Services Dance Classes
      • The Jefferson Middle School Choir and Orchestra

      Thursday, December 5

      Pasadena Playhouse

      In partnership with the Playhouse District Association, Pasadena Playhouse will present a tree lighting ceremony in the Playhouse courtyard.

      The Playhouse is also participating in the “Spark of Love” Toy Drive with ABC7 and the Southern California Firefighters. Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy or sports equipment to donate at the Tree Lighting will receive a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and coffee. Or purchase a coffee or hot chocolate for $5 with all proceeds going to support “Spark of Love”:

      • 7:05 pm: Marshall Fundamental Choir.
      • 7:20 pm: Bob Baker Marionette Theater.
      • 7:50 pm: Little Shop of Horrors cast members Brittany Campbell, Tickwanya Jones and Cheyenne Isabel Wells sing a Christmas medley.
      • 8:00 pm: Tree Lighting.
      7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

      South Pasadena’s Annual Tree Lighting festivities will begin with a wide array of entertainment and events:

      • South Pasadena High School Tiger Marching Band performing a variety of toe-tapping tunes.
      • Choirs of children will entertain the audience with holiday tunes.
      •  5:30 pm: Mayor Marina Khubesrian will “flip the switch” and the live tree will light up!
      • Santa Claus’s will be on hand for a chance to take photos with him.
      • The South Pasadena Historic Museum will be decorated for the holidays.
      • South Pasadena Preservation Foundation will have seasonal treats for visitors.

      Join Pasadena Mayor, Terry Tornek, for the Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at City Hall.

      There will be local singers and dancers, crafts for kids provided by Armory Center for the Arts, light refreshments, and a special appearance by ol’ Santa Claus. At 6 p.m., Mayor Tornek will flip the switch to light up the City’s official tree.

      Huntington Drive shopkeepers will open their doors after hours for this fun and festive event and Santa will arrive at 6:00 p.m. at the fire station on Old #1 at City Hall to greet the kids.

      Jump aboard a trolley or stroll the drive as you listen to the holiday sounds of Carolers as you visit local merchants. Then stroll down to Christmas Tree Lane, San Marino, which is the sister street to Christmas Tree Lane in Altadena (see below).

      • Join Santa Claus at 6 pm, as he arrives at the Fire Station on Old Engine #1
      • Board the Trolley for a trip “Around the Drive”!
      • A variety of refreshments
      • Strolling Carolers
      • Face Painting, and much more.

      The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Downtown Alhambra will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm; and will be located at Edward’s Renaissance Plaza at 1 East Main St. (corner of Garfield and Main).

      Monterey Park

      Monterey Park’s seventh annual Holiday Snow Village event will feature a tree lighting, snow sled runs, holiday music and pictures with Santa – all at the Barnes Park Amphitheater. Santa will show up at 6:00 pm with carols and will light the Monterey Park tree.

      A Swinging Christmas: Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting at Allandale Branch Library, with
      a musical program featuring:

      • The Larry Muradian Trio (Susan Winsberg, flute; Chad Edwards, keyboard; and Larry Muradian, bass), playing jazz standards and holiday favorites.
      • A special performance by the Blair Studio Singers (under the direction of Kc Daugirdas).
      • Refreshments will be provided.
      • The lighting of the Allendale Park Christmas Tree will be at 5:30 pm.
