What better time than summer to find your next great romance read? Altadena Library has unearthed the extra-worldly This Is How You Lose the Time War for Thursday, August 13, at 4:30 pm.

The aptly named Heartthrob Hangouts Book Club has taken up a new mid-month spot on the Altadena Library’s monthly calendar, and the multiple award-winning novel This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone has filled it.
Set amid a war fought across time, the novel’s resulting passions have won the Hugo, Locus, and Nebula Awards for Best Novella. At just over 200 pages, it’s a great weekend read—perfect for a fun midsummer book club chat.
